(noun) a cloud or atmosphere (as of romance) surrounding certain person or thing; radiant light around the head of a drawn or sculptured divinity, saint or sovereign.

Examples:

1. June had idolized him so much that once she actually got to know him and the nimbus of perfection about him fell, she was severely disappointed.

2. June admired the nimbus of light about the angel’s head in the stained glass window.
