Keep up the cardio. because we’ll add to it soon, but right now were going to focus on developing an all too often neglected area of your body.  Your core is basically your midsection. Made up of a sort of girdle of abdominal and low back muscles, this is the area of your body responsible for holding you up all day long.  These muscles  play a big role in holding posture upright and in your balance and coordination. Beach Body Step 2: Interval Training

Be prepared to go into this store and come out happy!

Here we’re going to start adding a higher intensity to your cardio exercise.  This coming week continue your base runs, but replace two days that are least a day apart to get an interval workout in.  Interval workouts are those that switch between a steady base run pace and an elevated “race pace.”  Now that you have built your base you need to add intensity to rev up your motor and burn calories.  This type of training is important because it increases your lung capacity and it makes your anaerobic metabolism more efficient. Anytime you’re starting a cardio fitness routine, an important first step is to build a solid base of aerobic training.  Today we’re starting your program by getting you in the routine of consistently implementing long, slow distance training. 

Training for longer durations at lower intensities is a smart way to start out burning calories. It prepares your body for more stressful workouts by improving the efficiency with which you cool your body, deliver oxygen to your muscles, produce energy and use fat as an energy source. Small Investment For Even Smaller Waistline

When I first saw this little journal, my first thought was that $23 for a fitness log was a rip off, and that I’d stick with my own blank-paged notebook or i-phone app thank you very much. However, since opening it up and looking at all the great tools inside, my mind is officially changed.  In fact, it’s such a valuable tool, I require all my new clients to get one of these before we start together.  It works very well.  This handy little book contains three months worth of workout logging, nutrition tracking, and motivation upkeep that sets its users up for success. Keeping track of what you do with your body is just as important as staying on top of your budget or your schedule.  Nutrition and exercise have a huge effect on your energy level, self-image, mental health and physical well-being.  Having a strong and capable body you are proud of allows you to conquer your dreams no holds barred.  As a lifelong athlete, professional trainer, and multi-sport coach, I’ll share my knowledge and expertise to help you reach the biggest dreams you have for yourself.

Our training and health journey will be catagorized under the heading “Silhouette.”

I work out! Changing our bodies takes time and work, but the rewards are never-ending.
